Board of Ed. member Kirsten Hill should be questioned for her role in CFABO, which has spread election and pandemic misinformation
The Ohio Education Association is currently questioning Board of Education Member Kirsten Hill’s intent in organizing a bus trip to D.C. for a “Stop the Steal” rally on 1/6/21, the day when Trump supporters stormed the Capitol, interrupting electoral college proceedings, causing dozens of injuries, theft and destruction and resulting in multiple deaths.
The Association should also question Hill’s involvement as a top-level member of the Committee for a Better Ohio which has spread false information and conspiracy theories about the 2020 election, and whose executive director has expressed far-right extremist views and calls to political violence.

Kirsten Hill’s Committee called Biden “illegitimate president elect” and also posted that 2020 election software experienced “purposeful manipulations orchestrated by election officials”, among other election conspiracy theories.

Her director’s calls to political violence
Hill’s Committee endorses their executive director Conrad Allen as candidate for Governor of Ohio. Therefore we should question Hill’s adherence to Allen’s violent rhetoric and further spread of election disinformation. Allen has said, “Trump won. Now we defend against theft.” and “The President said fraud is rampant. DeWine wants you to capitulate. I want you to arm.”
Committee Director Allen further encouraged politicians to “speak against socialists in brutal and violent terms,” suggesting to “shoot communists & socialists in the face” while their Committee has considered communists and socialists to be Black Lives Matter, Democrats and even moderate Republicans.
Would Hill denounce her Committee Director’s rhetoric?
Pandemic disinformation and suggesting bounties on Black Lives Matter supporters
Hill should also be questioned about the Committee’s spread of misinformation about the coronavirus pandemic and suggesting a state-wide bounty on supporters of Black Lives Matter.
Is it appropriate for a Board of Education member to push unsupported information about COVID-19, or to support civil rights violations against racial rights advocates?
Kirsten Hill’s Northeast Ohio district
Kirsten Hill represents Ohio’s Education District 2 in the north and northwest counties of Lucas, Lorain, Wood, Erie, Huron, Fulton, and Ottawa, including the cities of Toledo, Bowling Green, Sandusky, Norwalk, Elyria, Wauseon, Port Clinton and parts of the Greater Cleveland area. She won election in 2018, edging out runner up Jeanine Donaldson by a margin of 0.4%, just over 1,000 votes. Hill’s term ends in 2022.
Departure from CFABO?
As of 7/9/21, Hill is no longer listed as a top-level member of CFABO. Her page on their site has been removed and was last cached by Wayback Machine on 2/27/21.
Elsewhere, Hill has been chairman of the Lorain County Tea Party AKA Totally Engaged Americans.
2022 run for state Senate
Kirsten Hill challenged incumbent State Senator Nathan Manning for Senate District 13 in the 8/2/2022 Republican primary. Manning won over Hill, and he will face Anthony Eliopoulos in the general election on 11/8/2022.
